Promoting professionalism in law enforcement.
Promoting Law Enforcement Professionalism Through Accreditation.
The South Carolina Police Accreditation Coalition (SCPAC) exists to improve the quality and delivery of law enforcement services to the citizens of its communities, by endorsing and assisting in the processes of national and state accreditation. SC PAC provides technical assistance to agencies in all phases of accreditation, from file setup and documentation, to policy and procedure writing.
SCPAC provides thorough, preparatory “mock” assessments for both national and state accreditation. SCPAC membership also comprises of many assessors who conduct the actual assessments for the South Carolina Law Enforcement Accreditation program and CALEA (Commission of Accreditation for Law
Enforcement Agencies). SC PAC meets four times a year and hosts at least two training sessions including the training of assessors.
